Critter Catchers, a family-owned and operated animal control business located in Oakland County, was born from a sincere belief in practicing humane wildlife control while providing customers with exceptional service, honesty and integrity. First-hand experience is backed by a Biologist with a Bachelors from Oakland University, Masters Degree earned from Wayne State University, and a Residential Builder License.

We are properly licensed and permitted through three separate Departments of the State of Michigan: Department of Natural Resources, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth.

We are the only bat exclusion company approved by the Organization for Bat Conservation, located behind the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

In 2008, we established a Bat Educational Grant to bring OBC's Live Bat Experience into Michigan Schools and Michigan Nature Centers. We continue the support to this day, as a way to give back to the community and inspire future scientists. Over 24 events have been hosted or are scheduled in SE Michigan.

A photograph of our work was featured in Bats of Michigan. This book was authored by Dr. Allen Kurta from Eastern Michigan University.

Through our Scholarship program, we supported a research project at the Center for North American Bat Research and Conservation. This bat center is located at Indiana State University and staffed by one of the largest teams of bat biologists in North America.

We are active members of the Midwest Bat Working Group. The group was newly formed in 2009 to address issues related to white nose syndrome and wind farm effects on bats.

We attended the 2009 & 2010 Michigan Bat Working Group meetings at the US Fish and Wildlife Service office to obtain information on the latest rabies and white nose syndrome. We were the only private industry represented at the meeting.

We have been active Members of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association since 2006.

We carry liability insurance and employees are covered by workers compensation insurance.
